J <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84 -007 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it <br />to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris and <br />orderly City government that the City Council have two <br />regular meetings per month. The first of which is to be on <br />the Thursday before the second Monday of each month at 5:15 <br />P.M. and the second to be on.the second Monday of each month <br />at 7:00 P.M.; and, <br />WHEREAS, the agenda of the Thursday meeting shall give <br />preference to zoning matters and public hearings and the <br />agenda for the Monday council meeting shall give no pre- <br />ference other than those directed by Section 2 -1 of the Code <br />of Ordinances of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, that the City Council of the City of Paris meet in <br />regular session on the Thursday before the second Monday of <br />each month and on the second Monday of each month. Said <br />meetings to be at 5 :15 and 7:00 o'clock P.M. respectively. <br />IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the regular Thursday <br />meeting agenda give preference to matters of zoning and <br />matters requiring public hearing and that the Monday regular <br />meeting agenda have no preference other than those directed <br />by Section 2 -1 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of <br />Paris. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the designation herein <br />of regular meetings is an exercise of the City Council's <br />authority as granted in Rule 2 of Section 2 -1 of the Code of <br />Ordinances of the City of Paris. <br />Passed and adopted this 13th day of February, 1984. <br />J e Graham, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />r <br />reeve, City er <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />. K aynes, City Attorney <br />Resolution No. 84 -008 authorizing the Mayor to execute on behalf of the <br />City of Paris a contract with the Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County, <br />Inc. for the use of the Hotel Motel Occupancy Tax for promoting and <br />advertising the City of Paris was presented. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Ware for adoption of the Resolu- <br />tion. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
