A motion was made by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman Ware <br />approving the bid of Wallace & Tiernan in the amount of $4,854.00. The <br />motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Graham called for the tabulation of bids for the purchase of an <br />Electric Motor for Raw Water Pump at Pat Mayse, and the following bids <br />were presented: <br />Sepco Industries $18,799.00 90 Days Delivery <br />Smith Pump Co. $19,719.00 82 Days <br />Eli Myers Pump Sales $21,567.00 150 days <br />Advance Electric $28;000.00 20 weeks <br />Advance Electric $36,000.00 May 15, 1984 <br />A motion was made by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman Hoog to <br />award the bid to Sepco Industries in the amount of $18,799.00 that being <br />the lowest bid. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Graham announced that the next order of business would be consid- <br />eration of recommendations by the Traffic Commission at it's meeting <br />held on March 6, 1984. <br />Mayor Graham advised that the recommendation was made for a 20 MPH <br />School Zone at the following locations: 1. On Johnson Woods from the <br />South curb line of E. Hubbard Street, south th the south curb line of E. <br />Hubbard Street, south to the south curb line of Clark Lane. 2. On <br />Graham Street from the west curb line of 31st N. W., west to the west <br />curb line of 34th N. W. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, second- <br />ed by Councilman Williams approving the recommendations. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Director of Engineering, John Buss, appeared before the Council and <br />discussed problems with the Central Interceptor Sewer Main, and stated <br />that several alternatives were being studied to repair, renew, or inter- <br />line the main. <br />Mayor Graham stated that the next order of business would be consid- <br />eration of Ordinances and Resolutions previously authorized by the City <br />Council. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 84 -018 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE <br />OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE <br />TRAFFIC - CONTROL DEVICE,MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 29 -80 OF <br />SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL <br />ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING <br />FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL 1, 1984. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by <br />Councilman Ware for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 6 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 84 -019 <br />
