City Attorney Haynes executed the oath of office to Mr. George Fisher, Jr., Mr. <br />Walter F. Williams, Mr. Gene McWaters, Jr., and Donald G. Wilson, and the four <br />Councilmen assumed their seat at the Council table. <br />Mayor Bill Joe Burnett retired from the council table and took his seat in the <br />audience. <br />Mayor Pro Tem, Walter Williams assumed the gavel and called the meeting to order <br />with all Councilmen present except Councilman Joe Graham. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Williams presented a plaque of appreciation to Mayor Burnett, and <br />presented Mayor Burnett with his gavel. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Williams called for the reading of an Ordinance establishing <br />appropriations for the Emergency Disaster Fund. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2623 <br />AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE EMERGENCY DISASTER FUND FOR THE PERIOD BEGINN- <br />ING APRIL 2, 1982, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1982, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARTER OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, ESTABLISHING SAID FUND AND APPROPRIATING THE VARIOUS AMOUNTS ` =CF <br />AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT H . <br />was presented.A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman <br />McGee for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll presented a request of the Red River Valley Baptist Association <br />to temporarily locate approximately 25 travel trailers on Spring Lake Baptist <br />church property located 3500 Clarksville St. <br />City Attorney Haynes advised that the City had already some legislation on the <br />matter and advised an additional Ordinance. <br />0 <br />
