i <br />Mayor Graham called for the tabulation of bids for a sickle mower for <br />the Water and Sewer Department, and the following bids were presented. <br />LaRue Ford $3,850.00 <br />Paris, Texas <br />Case Power $4,248.75 <br />Paris, Texas <br />A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman McGee <br />awarding the bid to LaRue Ford Company. The motion carried 7 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />Mayor Graham called for the tabulation of bids for Underwater Rescue <br />Equipment for the Fire Department. City Manager Sokoll advised that <br />only one bid had been received, and that was from Diver's World, Inc., <br />Richardson, Texas in the amount of $3,191.12, and recommended that <br />the bid be accepted. <br />Mr. Marcus Roden appeared before the Council stating that he had been <br />out of town and had not had an opportunity to bid on the rescue equip- <br />ment, and requested an opportunity to bid or that the equipment be re- <br />bid. After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded <br />by Councilman McGee to reject all bids and re- advertise for bids under <br />the present specifications. Councilman Francis made an amendment to <br />the motion to re -write the specifications, and after discussion with- <br />drew his amendment and motion. After further discussion, Mayor Graham <br />called for the vote on the original motion which showed 3 ayes, 4 nays, <br />and the motion failed. <br />After further discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded <br />by Councilman McWaters to accept the bid of Diver's World, Inc. in the <br />amount of $3,191.12. The motion carried 5 ayes, 2 nays: <br />Mayor Graham called for the tabulations of bids for roof repair for <br />the Library Building, and the following bids were presented: <br />Brown Roofing Alternate #1 <br />Sulphur Springs, Tx. Alternate #2 $3,665.00 <br />$3,325.00 <br />Weehunt Alternate #1 <br />Paris, Texas Alternate #2 $5,211.81 <br />$4,080.70 <br />A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Williams <br />to accept the bid of Brown Roofing Alternate No. 1 in the amount of <br />$3,665.00. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Director of Emergency Medical Service, Kent Klinkerman, appeared before <br />the Council and made a presentation on Advance Life Support System. <br />City Manager Sokoll presented the following report on EDA Adjustment <br />Assistance Grant Application. <br />
