i Mayor Graham called for the tabulation of bids for a sickle mower for the Water and Sewer Department, and the following bids were presented. LaRue Ford $3,850.00 Paris, Texas Case Power $4,248.75 Paris, Texas A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman McGee awarding the bid to LaRue Ford Company. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Graham called for the tabulation of bids for Underwater Rescue Equipment for the Fire Department. City Manager Sokoll advised that only one bid had been received, and that was from Diver's World, Inc., Richardson, Texas in the amount of $3,191.12, and recommended that the bid be accepted. Mr. Marcus Roden appeared before the Council stating that he had been out of town and had not had an opportunity to bid on the rescue equip- ment, and requested an opportunity to bid or that the equipment be re- bid. After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman McGee to reject all bids and re- advertise for bids under the present specifications. Councilman Francis made an amendment to the motion to re -write the specifications, and after discussion with- drew his amendment and motion. After further discussion, Mayor Graham called for the vote on the original motion which showed 3 ayes, 4 nays, and the motion failed. After further discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman McWaters to accept the bid of Diver's World, Inc. in the amount of $3,191.12. The motion carried 5 ayes, 2 nays: Mayor Graham called for the tabulations of bids for roof repair for the Library Building, and the following bids were presented: Brown Roofing Alternate #1 Sulphur Springs, Tx. Alternate #2 $3,665.00 $3,325.00 Weehunt Alternate #1 Paris, Texas Alternate #2 $5,211.81 $4,080.70 A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Williams to accept the bid of Brown Roofing Alternate No. 1 in the amount of $3,665.00. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Director of Emergency Medical Service, Kent Klinkerman, appeared before the Council and made a presentation on Advance Life Support System. City Manager Sokoll presented the following report on EDA Adjustment Assistance Grant Application.
