Mayor Graham announced that a request had been made to consider <br />the petition of Doris Carroll for a change in zoning from a One <br />Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Two Family Dwelling <br />District (2F) on Lot 4, City Block 188 -D located on the north side <br />of Old Jefferson Road approximately 180 feet west of 12th S. E. which <br />had been tabled at the May 10, 1982 Council meeting. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Wilson <br />to remove this item from the table. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />There was no one present to speak on the petition and Mayor Graham <br />called for the reading of the Ordinance. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2642 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING <br />MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A TWO FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (2F) <br />ON LOT 4, CITY BLOCK 188 -D ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO DORIS CARROLL, <br />SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE <br />FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 (SF -2); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES <br />OF THE TWO FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (2F) SO ESTABLISHED. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by <br />Councilman McWaters for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried <br />5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The final plat of Young Addition was presented and a motion was made <br />by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman McGee to approve the final <br />plat. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Councilman Francis enter the Council Chamber and assumed his chair at <br />the Council table. <br />ORDINANCE NO. concerning the annexation and Zoning of a 13.15 <br />acre tract of land located on the North side of Stone Avenue and <br />the East side of U. S. Highway 271 was introducted by the City <br />Attorney. No action was necessary on the matter. <br />City Attorney Haynes presented the following petition for re- zoning: <br />Mount Sinia Lodge No. 1570, Lot 10, City Block 79 -A from 2F to 2F- <br />Specific Use Lodge (17); Darrell Coats, part of Lot 1 and 2, City <br />Block B, Town East Estate from SF -2 to MF -1; Pearl Henry, Lot 4, <br />City Block M, Fuller - Dohoney Addition from SF -3 to SF -3, Specific <br />Use - Mobile Home; James Garvin, Lot 1, and 1B, City Block S, Maxey <br />Addition from SF -3 to Neighborhood Service District. <br />Mayor Graham referred the petition to the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />for their study and recommendations and called for a public hearing at <br />the next regular Council meeting. <br />Mayor Graham stated that Roger Boxwell had requested permission to <br />construct a hangar building at Cox Field and had received a recommend- <br />ation from the Airport Advisory Board. The matter was discussed and <br />Resolution No. 2196 was presented authorizing the construction and a <br />long term lease for the hangar was presented. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Wilson,seconded by Councilman McGee for approval of the <br />Resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
