b ;(i MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL August 9, 1982 The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held Monday, August 9, 1982, 7:00 P. M. Mayor Graham called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen present: Larry Mcgee, Gene McWaters, Jr., George Fisher, Jr., and Donald G. Wilson. Also present were City Manager, R. W. Sokoll, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and Acting City Clerk, Joe McCollum. Prayer was offered by Rev. Ray Lattimer of the First Assembley of God Church. Mayor Graham asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of previous meetings furnished to the Council members, there being no corrections, the minutes were approved. Mayor Graham announced the first order of business would be considera- tion of recommendations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of Judy Lyde for a change in zoning from a Two Family Dwelling District (2F) to a Neighborhood Service District (NS) on Lot 5, City Block 227 -D located on the northwest corner of 20th and E. Cherry Street. No one appeared for or against the petition and Mayor Graham called for a motion to continue the public hearing and table the matter pending a recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission. A motion was made by Councilman McWaters, seconded by Councilman McGee to table the request. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of Annette Sherfield for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3) to a Neighborhood Service District (NS) on Lot 28, Block Q, East Park Addition located at 1341 10th N. E. No one appeared for or against the petition and the public hearing was declared closed. ORDINANCE NO. 2641 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) ON LOT 28, BLOCK Q, EAST PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PARIS, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO ANNETTE SHERFIELD, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 3 (SF -3); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) SO ESTABLISHED. was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Wilson for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. i
