b ;(i <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />August 9, 1982 <br />The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held <br />Monday, August 9, 1982, 7:00 P. M. Mayor Graham called the meeting <br />to order with the following Councilmen present: Larry Mcgee, Gene <br />McWaters, Jr., George Fisher, Jr., and Donald G. Wilson. Also present <br />were City Manager, R. W. Sokoll, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and <br />Acting City Clerk, Joe McCollum. <br />Prayer was offered by Rev. Ray Lattimer of the First Assembley of God <br />Church. <br />Mayor Graham asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of <br />previous meetings furnished to the Council members, there being no <br />corrections, the minutes were approved. <br />Mayor Graham announced the first order of business would be considera- <br />tion of recommendations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of Judy <br />Lyde for a change in zoning from a Two Family Dwelling District (2F) <br />to a Neighborhood Service District (NS) on Lot 5, City Block 227 -D <br />located on the northwest corner of 20th and E. Cherry Street. <br />No one appeared for or against the petition and Mayor Graham called <br />for a motion to continue the public hearing and table the matter <br />pending a recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />A motion was made by Councilman McWaters, seconded by Councilman <br />McGee to table the request. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of <br />Annette Sherfield for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling <br />District No. 3 (SF -3) to a Neighborhood Service District (NS) on <br />Lot 28, Block Q, East Park Addition located at 1341 10th N. E. <br />No one appeared for or against the petition and the public hearing <br />was declared closed. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2641 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING <br />MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) <br />ON LOT 28, BLOCK Q, EAST PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PARIS, ON <br />PROPERTY BELONGING TO ANNETTE SHERFIELD, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN <br />TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. <br />3 (SF -3); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE <br />DISTRICT (NS) SO ESTABLISHED. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by <br />Councilman Wilson for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried <br />5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />i <br />
