1 <br />City Manager Sokoll requested authorization to advertise for bids for a Display <br />Writer for the City Attorney's office. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, <br />seconded by Councilman Francis approving the request. The motion carried 5 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />Mayor Graham requested the Council's consideration of an Appropriation Ordinance <br />for the Emergency Disaster Fund. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2640 <br />AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE EMERGENCY DISASTER FUND FOR THE PERIOD <br />BEGINNING JULY 1, 1982 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1983, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARTER <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, ESTABLISHING SAID FUND AND APPROPRIATING THE VARIOUS <br />AMOUNTS THEREOF AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br />HEREWITH. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman <br />McWaters for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Attorney Haynes informed the Council of damages by Bobby Okra's automobile <br />by Paris Police officer's on July 31, 1982 when attempting to apprehend a person. <br />Because of the extensive damage to the automobile, the City Attorney deemed it <br />adviseable to inform the City Council, and asked for their recommendations. After <br />discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman <br />Fisher authorizing the City Attorney to make settlement on the claim.
