MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS <br />August 12, 1982 <br />The special meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held, <br />Thursday, August 12, 1982, 7:00 P. M. The following Councilmen were <br />present: George Fisher, Jr., Gene McWaters, Jr., Donald G. Wilson, <br />and Larry McGee. Also present were City Manager, R. W. Sokoll, City <br />Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City.Clerk, H. C. Greene. <br />City Manager Sokoll advised that the Engineers from CRS Engineers <br />employed by the City for plans and specifications for the Waste Water <br />Treatment Plant would give a progress report on the Sewer Project. <br />Mr. Chuck Zickefoose and Bob Vivian discussed the amendments to the <br />Facility Plan and discussed a trickling filter system for the Waste <br />Water Treatment Plant being proposed for the City. <br />City Engineer, Rick Conner, appeared before the Council and gave a <br />report on the sewerage pump stations now being <br />staff for the Infiltration /Inflow Project, planned by the City <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br />ATTEST: <br />H. GREENE CITY CLERK <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS <br />August 17, 1982 <br />The special meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held, <br />Tuesday, August 17, 1982, 7:00 P. M. Mayor Graham called the meeting <br />to order with the following Councilmen present: George Fisher, Jr., <br />Gene McWaters, Jr., Donald G. Wilson, Walter F. Williams. Also present <br />were City Manager, R. W. Sokoll, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City <br />Clerk, H. C. Greene. <br />Mayor Graham announced that the first order of business would be <br />consideration of authorization for the City to participate with <br />League Cities in the 1982 Rate Increase Request of Southwestern Bell <br />Telephone Company. <br />City Attorney Haynes advised the Council that the Texas Municipal <br />League Cities were making a study of the rate request and had <br />requested that 3.5¢ per capita be furnished by each city <br />in the review. A motion was made by Councilman McWater,psecondedtbyg <br />Councilman Wilson authorizing the City's participation in the rate <br />request. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2203 authorizing the Mayor to execute a release after <br />termination of contract and indeminity agreement with Hayter Engineer- <br />ing, Inc. was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Wilson, <br />seconded by Councilman Williams for adoption of the Resolution. The <br />motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
