S <br />Mayor Graham called for discussion on the EDA Grant Application, and <br />City Manager Sokoll advised that the City was prepared to make applica- <br />tion for a $75,000.00.Grant from EDA with $25,000.00 being furnished <br />in cash or in kind by the City for the program. Mr. Les Learman <br />appeared before the Council to give further information on the Grant. <br />Councilman McGee entered the Council Chamber and assumed his seat at <br />the Council table. <br />A Resolution was presented authorizing the City to make an EDA Grant <br />Application and approving a letter read by the City Manager supporting <br />the project. After further discussion, a motion was made by Councilman <br />Fisher, seconded by Councilman Williams to approve the Resolution and <br />adopt the project. A motion showed 2 ayes, 4 nays, and the motion <br />failed. <br />Mr. Chuck Zickefoose of the CRS Consulting Engineering Group, appeared <br />before the Council and discussed amendments to the Facility Plan and <br />the Infiltration /Inflow Project as well as a design memorandium <br />prepared by the Engineering Group concerning a trickling filter system <br />for the Waste Water Treatment Plant. After discussion, a motion was <br />made by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman McWaters to accept <br />and approve the Trickling Filter concept presented by the CRS Group <br />Engineers, Inc. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Graham announced that the City would go into executive session <br />to discuss matters with the City Attorney. <br />The regular session was declared closed, and the executive session <br />open, and the City Attorney discussed contractual matters with the <br />City Council. <br />The executive session was declared closed and the regular session open. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br />JOE GRAHAM, MAYOR <br />ATTEST; <br />H.
