Mayor Graham announced that the Council would hear discussion concerning previous zoning action on property located at 536 3rd N.W. Mr. Benny Freeman stated his and other property owners in the area displeasure with the Council's approval of the Specific Use Permit for a Lodge at that location. Approximately 20 persons were in attendance in support of Mr. Freeman's statements. The Council took no action on the matter. Mayor Graham called for consideration of recommendations made by the Traffic Commission and advised that they had recommended a No Parking Zone on FM 137 South of Loop 286 and allowing two way traffic on 2nd S. E. between Lamar Avenue and Clarksville Street. After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman McGee to authorize preparation of an Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. ORDINANCE NO. 2653 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC - CONTROL DEVICE MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 29 -80 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00 REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBER 1, 1982. was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Wilson for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. The Airport Advisory Board recommendation to set open hanger rental rate at $30.00 per month and close hanger rental rate at $50.00 per month was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Wilson to approve the rental rates. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 2209 authorizing execution of contracts for purchase of a Displaywriter was presented.
