Mayor Graham called for tabulation of bids for a Hydraulic Valve Wrench for the Water Department and one bid was submitted from the E. H. Wachs Company in the amount of $2,611.00. Following discussion with the Director of Public Works, Councilman Wilson made a motion, seconded by Councilman McWaters to accept the bid of E. H. Wachs Company in the amount of $2,611.00. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Graham called for the tabulation of bids for 1500 feet of 3 inch hose for the Fire Department and the following bids were presented: W. H. H. (Lefty) Lumpkin in the amount of $3,285.00. The motion carried 6 ayes, 1 nay with Councilman McWaters voting nay. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Acting City Manager Greene requested authorization to seek bids for the furnishing and installing of chain link fencing for the City Cemetery on 5th N. W. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman McWaters to authorize the request of the Act- ing City Manager. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Acting City Manager Greene presented plans and specifications and requested authorization to advertise for bids for an addition to the Animal Shelter. A motion was made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman Williams to approve the request of the Acting City Manager. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 2210 authorizing application for Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $800,000.00 was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Williams for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.
