MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS November 8, 1982 The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held Monday, November 8, 1982, 7:00 P. M. Mayor Graham called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen present: W. C. Francis, Don G. Wilson, George Fisher, Jr., Larry P. McGee, Gene McWaters, Jr., and Walter F. Williams. Also present was Acting City Manager, H. C. Greene, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and Acting City Clerk, Joe N. McCollum. Prayer was offered by Rev. Glenn Vickers of the Calvary Methodist Church. Mayor Graham asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of previous meetings, there being none, the minutes were approved as presented. Mayor Graham announced the first order of business would be consideration of recommendations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of Lt. Mims for a change in zoning from a Commercial District (C) to a One Family Dwelling District No. 3 and Specific Use Permit - Mobile Home (39) on Lot 5, City Block 88 -A located at 823 6th N. W. Mr. Mims was present and stated his plans to place a mobile home on the property to replace his residence which was destroyed by the tornado. No one was present in opposition and Mayor Graham declared the public hearing closed and called for the Ordinance to be presented. ORDINANCE NO. 2654 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 3 (SF -3) AND SPECIFIC USE PERMIT MOBILE HOME (39) ON LOT 5, CITY BLOCK 88 -A, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO LIEUTENANT MIMS, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 3 (SF -3) AND SPECIFIC USE PERMIT MOBILE HOME(39) so established. was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Williams for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of Warren Hughes for a change in zoning from a Commercial District (C) to a One Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3) and Specific Use Permit Mobile Home (39) on Lot 3, City Block 98 located at 506 W. Campbell Street. Mr. Hughes was present and told the Council he needed a place to live to replace his home that was destroyed by the tornado. No one was present in opposition and Mayor Graham declared the public hearing closed and called for the Ordinance to be presented.
