MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS <br />November 8, 1982 <br />The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held <br />Monday, November 8, 1982, 7:00 P. M. Mayor Graham called the meeting <br />to order with the following Councilmen present: W. C. Francis, Don <br />G. Wilson, George Fisher, Jr., Larry P. McGee, Gene McWaters, Jr., and <br />Walter F. Williams. Also present was Acting City Manager, H. C. Greene, <br />City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and Acting City Clerk, Joe N. McCollum. <br />Prayer was offered by Rev. Glenn Vickers of the Calvary Methodist Church. <br />Mayor Graham asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of <br />previous meetings, there being none, the minutes were approved as <br />presented. <br />Mayor Graham announced the first order of business would be consideration <br />of recommendations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of Lt. <br />Mims for a change in zoning from a Commercial District (C) to a <br />One Family Dwelling District No. 3 and Specific Use Permit - Mobile Home <br />(39) on Lot 5, City Block 88 -A located at 823 6th N. W. <br />Mr. Mims was present and stated his plans to place a mobile home on <br />the property to replace his residence which was destroyed by the <br />tornado. <br />No one was present in opposition and Mayor Graham declared the public <br />hearing closed and called for the Ordinance to be presented. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2654 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING <br />MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 3 <br />(SF -3) AND SPECIFIC USE PERMIT MOBILE HOME (39) ON LOT 5, CITY BLOCK <br />88 -A, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO LIEUTENANT MIMS, SO AS TO INCLUDE <br />THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C); <br />AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT <br />NO. 3 (SF -3) AND SPECIFIC USE PERMIT MOBILE HOME(39) so established. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by <br />Councilman Williams for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of <br />Warren Hughes for a change in zoning from a Commercial District (C) <br />to a One Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3) and Specific Use Permit <br />Mobile Home (39) on Lot 3, City Block 98 located at 506 W. Campbell <br />Street. <br />Mr. Hughes was present and told the Council he needed a place to <br />live to replace his home that was destroyed by the tornado. <br />No one was present in opposition and Mayor Graham declared the public <br />hearing closed and called for the Ordinance to be presented. <br />
