<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2149
<br />WHEREAS, Texas Power & Light Company did, on February
<br />12, 1982, file a schedule of rates for electric service
<br />within the City of Paris, to become effective March 19,
<br />1982; and,
<br />WHEREAS, after having reviewed the proposed rate
<br />schedule and having received information from Texas Power
<br />& Light Company, it is the opinion of the City Council of
<br />the City of Paris, that such schedule of rates should be
<br />suspended for a period of 120 days from March 19, 1982,
<br />for study, investigation, receipt of evidence and public
<br />hearing before the City Council of the City of Paris at
<br />its Regular Council Meeting on the 10th day of May, 1982;
<br />and,
<br />WHEREAS, a copy of this resolution has been provided
<br />Texas Power & Light Company prior to its consideration by
<br />the City Council of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />PARIS, that a public hearing, be, and the same is hereby
<br />set for 7:00 o'clock P.M,, on the 10th day of May, 1982,
<br />in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, for the pur-
<br />pose of receiving any and all information germane to Texas
<br />Power & Light Company's request for rate increases, filed
<br />in the form of a schedule of rates with the City of Paris
<br />on the 12th day of February, 1982; and,
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that pursuant to Section 43(d)
<br />of the Public Utility Regulatory Act, that the operation
<br />of the Texas Power & Light Company's proposed rate sched-
<br />ules filed with the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the
<br />12th day of February, 1982, be, and the same is hereby
<br />suspended for a period of 120 days for further study,
<br />investigation, receipt of evidence and public hearing,
<br />Passed and adopted this 8th day of March, 1982,
