.4 <br />City Manager Sokoll requested authorization to advertise for bids for a Tractor <br />j for the Street Department and an Ice -Maker for the Street Department. A motion <br />was made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman Graham approving the <br />request. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll requested authorization to install lights at Wise Field <br />and that the cost be provided by the Revenue Sharing Fund. After discussion, <br />a motion was made by Councilman Graham seconded by Councilman Kohls denying <br />the request. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett called for the reading of a previously authorized Ordinance <br />authorizing installation of Stop Signs. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2614 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC - <br />CONTROL DEVICE MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECION 29 -80 OF SAID CODE; <br />PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR <br />PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br />OF APRIL 1, 1982. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Kohls, seconded by Councilman <br />Wortham for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett announced that discussion would be held concerning the annexation <br />of three areas which includes the Margraves Addition, the Cope Addition and an <br />area north of the City on 19th N. W. and FM79. Mayor Burnett invited comments <br />from the audience on the proposition. Dr. Joe Deupree appeared before the <br />Council in opposition and presented a petition of 23 of 25 homeowners in the <br />Margraves Addition opposing the annexation. Mr. Jim Skinner appeared before <br />the Council representing residences in the Cope Addition and expressed opposition <br />to the annexation. Mr. Rick Davidson, Mr. Dennis Ford, Ms. Dana Rhodes appeared <br />before the Council in opposition to annexation.Mr. Williams Heuberger, owning <br />property on highway 79 requested his property be annexed for the purpose of <br />extending sewer under the Infiltraction /Inflow Plan. Rick Conner, City Engineer <br />appeared before the Council stating that he would be glad to work with the <br />people in the area and advise them of any advantages they might have by annexation. <br />Resolution No. 2151 amending Resolution No. 2132 indicating the correct name of <br />the purchaser of property authorized in the Resolution on December 14, 1981 from <br />Cattlemen's Livestock Commission Inc., to Producer's Livestock Exchange Inc.,. A <br />motion was made by Councilman Kohls, seconded by Councilman Williams for adoption <br />of the Resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
