MLNIFTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS <br />April 12, 1982 <br />The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held Monday <br />April 12, 1982, 7:00 P. M. Mayor Burnett called the meeting to order with <br />the following Councilmen present: W. C. Francis, Walter F. Williams, Travis <br />Wortham, Larry McGee, Ken Kohls, and Joe Graham. Also present were City Manager, <br />R. W. Sokoll, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, H. C. Greene. <br />Prayer was offered by the Rev. Tom Calk. <br />Mayor Burnett asked of there were any corrections to the minutes of previous <br />meetings, furnished to the Council members. There being no corrections, the <br />minutes were approved. <br />Mayor Burnett announced that the first order of business would be the reading <br />of a previously authorized Ordinance requiring the per dting of Itinerant Vendors <br />and Temporary Vendors. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2617 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS BE AMENDED BY REVISING CHAPTER 23 BY AMENDING <br />SECTIONS 23 -1, 23 -14, 23- 16, and 23 -19 AND BY ADDING ARTICLE III TO SAID <br />CHAPTER; PROVIDING FOR THE INCREASE OF ITINERANT VENDORS FEES AND THE <br />EXEMPTION OF NON - PROFIT ORGANIZATION FROM THE PAYMENT OF FEES AND DEFINING <br />AND REGULATING TEMPORARY VENDORS; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED <br />$200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE- <br />WITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL 22, 1982. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Kohls, seconded by Councilman <br />McGee for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett announced that the next order of business would be consideration <br />of recommendations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open to consider the petition of <br />Inncon Corporation for a change in zoning from a Multi- Family Dwelling District <br />No. 1 to an Office District on Lots 5 and 5A, City Block 135, located on the <br />southwest corner of W. Sherman Street and 4th S. W. <br />Mayor called for proponents to appear and Mr. Jimmy Myrick appeared in behalf <br />of the petitioner. <br />Mayor Burnett called for opponents to appear and none appeared and the public <br />hearing was declared closed. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; <br />ESTABLISHING AN OFFICE DISTRICT (0) ON LOTS 5 AND 5A, CITY BLOCK 135, ON <br />PROPERTY BELONGING TO INNCON CORPORATION, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY <br />FORNERELY DESIGNATED AS A MULTIPLE- FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT N0. 1 'Fn-l); AND <br />DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE OFFICE DISTRICT (0) SO ESTABLISHED. <br />
