MLNIFTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS April 12, 1982 The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held Monday April 12, 1982, 7:00 P. M. Mayor Burnett called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen present: W. C. Francis, Walter F. Williams, Travis Wortham, Larry McGee, Ken Kohls, and Joe Graham. Also present were City Manager, R. W. Sokoll, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, H. C. Greene. Prayer was offered by the Rev. Tom Calk. Mayor Burnett asked of there were any corrections to the minutes of previous meetings, furnished to the Council members. There being no corrections, the minutes were approved. Mayor Burnett announced that the first order of business would be the reading of a previously authorized Ordinance requiring the per dting of Itinerant Vendors and Temporary Vendors. ORDINANCE NO. 2617 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS BE AMENDED BY REVISING CHAPTER 23 BY AMENDING SECTIONS 23 -1, 23 -14, 23- 16, and 23 -19 AND BY ADDING ARTICLE III TO SAID CHAPTER; PROVIDING FOR THE INCREASE OF ITINERANT VENDORS FEES AND THE EXEMPTION OF NON - PROFIT ORGANIZATION FROM THE PAYMENT OF FEES AND DEFINING AND REGULATING TEMPORARY VENDORS; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE- WITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL 22, 1982. was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Kohls, seconded by Councilman McGee for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Burnett announced that the next order of business would be consideration of recommendations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open to consider the petition of Inncon Corporation for a change in zoning from a Multi- Family Dwelling District No. 1 to an Office District on Lots 5 and 5A, City Block 135, located on the southwest corner of W. Sherman Street and 4th S. W. Mayor called for proponents to appear and Mr. Jimmy Myrick appeared in behalf of the petitioner. Mayor Burnett called for opponents to appear and none appeared and the public hearing was declared closed. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING AN OFFICE DISTRICT (0) ON LOTS 5 AND 5A, CITY BLOCK 135, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO INNCON CORPORATION, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORNERELY DESIGNATED AS A MULTIPLE- FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT N0. 1 'Fn-l); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE OFFICE DISTRICT (0) SO ESTABLISHED.
