523 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1943® <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris and <br />the Commissioners': Court of Lamar County, Texas,in Special <br />Joint Session, convened in City Council Room, City Hall, Paris, <br />Texas, do hereby find that it is in the best interest of the <br />citizens of Paris and Lamar County that these governmental <br />bodies cooperate in solving the problems of funding Health, and <br />Emergency Ambulance and related services for Paris and Lamar <br />County; NOW THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS <br />AND THE COMMISSIONER`" -3 COURT OF LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS, That they <br />do hereby agree to cooperate in the forming of a Health Services <br />District encompassing the County of Lamar in order to provide a <br />tax base to finance emergency ambulance service, health services <br />and other related services. <br />Passed and adopted in special joint session convened this <br />27th day of June, 1979. <br />li <br />Michael E.
