535 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1949 <br />_ ^ WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris continues. <br />to be aware -of -the necessity of maintaining and improving its <br />Municipal Airport, Cox Field; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is anticipated that there will be grant <br />funds available from the Federal Aviation Administration and <br />the Texas Aeronautics Commission to provide T- hangar taxiway, <br />separation of T- hangar taxiway from automobile access, gravel <br />road pavement, and providing parking lot for.the T- hangar, taxi - <br />way A overlay, main apron crack repair, taxiway stub-M-1-SE-runway <br />overlay, and seal coating terminal entrance road and parking lot, <br />enlarge apron and provide for additional fuel service; NOW, THERE- <br />FORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS: <br />1. That the City of Paris process an application <br />for funds from the Federal. Aviation Administration <br />and the Texas Aeronautics Commission, and any other <br />source, for grant funds to accomplish the aforement- <br />ioned maintenance and improvement items for Cox <br />Field, Paris, Texas. <br />2. That Joe McCollum, Director of Community Development, <br />be, and he is hereby appointed Project Director. <br />3. That H. C. Greene, Director of Finance of the City <br />of Paris, be, and he is hereby appointed Financial <br />Officer of said project. <br />4. That Robert W. Sokoll, City Manager, be, and he is' <br />hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver <br />on behalf of the City of Paris the necessary appli <br />cations, communications, instruments and documents <br />necessary for the completion of said project. <br />Y <br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of July, 1979. <br />4 <br />O <br />Michael .
