City Attorney Haynes presented an ordinance authorized previously concerning meetings <br />of the Civil Service Commission. Ordinance No. 2341: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING <br />THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY - <br />REVISING SECTION 10 -7 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR THE DELE- <br />TION OF THE REQUIREMENT FOR THE FIREMEN'S AND POLICEMEN'S <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION TO HOLD A REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING; <br />AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.OF JULY.11, 1977." <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher and seconded by Councilman . <br />Williams for the adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to advertise forbids for street improve- <br />ment work on Kaufman Street from a point 10 feet east of the southeast corner of <br />Lot 1C, Block 9, Sperry's 1st Addition. <br />r <br />A motion was made by Councilman Wunsch and seconded by Councilman Malone to approve <br />the request. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 1814, appointing Walter F. Williams to the Board of Directors of the <br />Ark --Tex Council of Governments to serve through May 31, 1978, was presented.
