RESOLUTION NO. 1314 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is a member of <br />the Ark -Tex Council of Governments; and, <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the Bylaws of the Ark -Tex <br />Council of Governments the Board of Directors of same shall be <br />r-- composed of members elected or appointed by the membership; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris is entitled to appoint three mem- <br />bers of the Board of Directors of Ark -Tex Council of Governments <br />as provided in the Bylaws of the same; and, <br />WHEREAS, James M. Brunette, Mayor of the City of Paris, <br />recommends the appointment by the City Council of the City of Paris <br />of Walter F. Williams, to serve through May 31, 1975, or until his <br />successor is appointed, or until he becomes disqualified to so serve; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That Walter F. Williams, be, and he is hereby appointed as <br />a member of the Board of Directors of Ark -Tex Council of <br />Governments, to serve through May 31, 1973,; or until his successor <br />is appointed, or until he becomes disqualified to so serve. <br />Passed and adopted this 11th day of July, 1977. <br />I rues M. Haynes, City Attorney <br />Resolution No. 1815, re- appointing Edmond Castleberry, Mrs. Frank Fuller, and Mrs. <br />Herbert Turner as members of the Band Commission for a term of one year, was presented. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Williams and seconded by Councilman Wunsch for the <br />adoption of the resolution. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
