A motion was made by Councilman Williams and seconded by Council- <br />man Hinds for the adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried: 7 ayes, O nays. <br />Mayor Brunette called for a report from Hayter Engineering Co. consultants em- <br />ployed to perform a water and sewer rate study. City Manager Sweatt advised that <br />Mr. Robert Hayter was out of the City and that a letter had been prepared by <br />Mr. Hayter. City Manager Sweatt read the letter to the Council, which stated, in <br />part, that the rate increase for water and sewer service could be as much as <br />$778,000.00 increase over present income and stated that he would have a further <br />preliminary report to present to the Council at an early date. <br />Mayor Brunette appointed the Council as a whole as a committee to study recom- <br />mendations of the Hayter Engineering Co. on the water and sewer rate study and <br />called for a committee meeting for 7:00 P.
