City Manager Sweatt advised the Council of the need of replacing approximately 50 <br />feet of the concrete line channel which had been washed out by flooding between <br />Johnson's Woods Drive and 31st Street S. E. on Mahaffey. The city manager reminded <br />the Council that bids had been previously solicited but were later rejected due to <br />their exceeding engineering estimates. City Manager Sweatt requested authorization <br />to advertise for bids for the 50 feet of the concrete Tine channel,- such bids to <br />be received on April 27, 1977 and presented to the Council at its regular meeting <br />in flay. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher and seconded by Councilman Williams <br />approving the request. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 1799, amending Resolution No. 1784 and appointing officials of Ward <br />7 for the April 2, 1977 election, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Williams and seconded by Councilman Hinds approving the resolution. The motion <br />carried: `7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1799 . <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 1784 OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BY AMENDING SECTION 2 OF <br />SAID RESOLUTION; PROVIDING THAT MAYDELL McCOY AND <br />CHARLES CASEY BE APPOINTED ELECTION OFFICIALS FOR <br />WARD SEVEN (7). <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS: <br />Section 1. That that part of Section 2 of Resolution No. 1784 <br />of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, dealing with Ward Seven (7), be <br />amended so that such shall read as follows: <br />"...
