9 :/ <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1803 <br />WHEREAS, Texas Power & Light Company, on December 22, <br />1976, did file its application for increase in its rates; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did hereto- <br />fore in Resolution No. 1781 suspend the effective date of said re- <br />quested rate increase, so that the same would not go into effect on <br />January 26, 1977; and, <br />WHEREAS, having held public hearings with regard to such <br />rate request; and, <br />WHEREAS, being aware of the Public Utility Commission of <br />the State of Texas' decision this date, wherein it declared that <br />Texas Power & Light Company was entitled to a rate increase which <br />would generate $58,242,508.00; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That Texas Power & Light Company is entitled to <br />a rate increase which will generate throughout its <br />system $58, 242, 508.00 in increased revenue. <br />2. - That the City Council of the City of Paris will: <br />approve, when furnished, a rate schedule and <br />tariffs of Texas Power & Light Company that <br />will equitably place the burden of this rate in- <br />crease among the several classifications of users. <br />3. That such rate, when approved by the City of Paris, <br />will be effective immediately and be reflected on <br />bills rendered after May 31, 1977. <br />Passed and adopted this 25th day of April, 1977. <br />ATTEST: <br />I . .
