Monday, July 14, <br />2008, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Jesse James Freelen <br />Council Members: Joe McCarthy; Kevin Kear; Stephen Brown; <br />Will Biard; Edwin Pickle; and Bill Strathern <br />City Staff: Kevin Carruth, City Manager; Kent McIlyar, <br />City Attorney; Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Gene <br />Anderson, Finance Director; Shawn Napier, <br />City Engineer; Lisa Wright, Community <br />Development Director; Ronnie Grooms, Fire <br />Chief, Bob Hundley, Assistant Chief of Police; <br />Doug Harris, Interim Director of Utilities; and <br />Priscilla McAnally, Library Director <br />Mayor Freelen called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Pastor Jered Benedict gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Brown led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens Forum. <br />Frankie White, 705 N.W. 27' Street - expressed concern about the Casa Bonita Apartments. <br />Mary Lawrence - she expressed appreciation for the efforts of City Council to demolish the <br />Casa Bonita Apartments. <br />Juanella Rollerson, 739 W. Henderson - expressed concern about the Casa Bonita Apartments. <br />Minnie Williams, 1235 -7th N.W. Street - she said she wanted the Casa Bonita Apartments <br />torn down. <br />
