Minutes <br />Traffic Commission <br />City of Paris <br />The Traffic Commission met on Tuesday February 03, 2015 at 5:15 P.M. in the <br />Municipal Courtroom with the following members present- <br />1 . <br />David Ballard <br />2. <br />Jimmy Hodges <br />3. <br />Ken Kohls <br />4. <br />Bill Sanders <br />The city staff was represented by Asst. Chief Randy Tuttle and City Engineer <br />Shawn Napier. <br />In the absence of Chairman Barry Shiver and Vice - Chairperson Susan Hamby, <br />Ken Kohls called the meeting to order at 5:30pm. A quorum was established with <br />four members present. <br />Mr. Kohls then moved to item #2 regarding the approval of minutes from the <br />December 02, 2014 meeting. A motion was made by Mr. Sanders and second by <br />Mr. Ballard to approve minutes of the meeting. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />Mr. Kohls moved to item #3 regarding the discussion and possible action <br />concerning converting one way traffic to two way traffic on Houston from 3rd NW <br />to 6t" NE. Mr. Tuttle informed members that this was discussed at December <br />2014 meeting and city staff recommended the change. Mr. Ballard made a <br />motion to convert Houston St. from one way traffic to two way traffic from 3rd NW <br />to 6t" NE. A second was made by Mr. Sanders and motion passed 4 -0 <br />Mr. Kohls moved to item #4 regarding the discussion and possible action <br />concerning converting one way traffic to two way traffic on Price St. from 3rd NW <br />to 6th NE. Mr. Tuttle informed members that this was also discussed at <br />December 2014 meeting and city staff recommended the change. Mr. Hodges <br />made a motion to convert Price St. from one way traffic to two way traffic from <br />3rd NW to 6th NE. A second was made by Mr. Ballard and motion passed 4 -0 <br />Mr. Kohls then moved to item #5 regarding discussion and possible action <br />concerning request to convert 2nd St. from W. Houston to W. Sherman from one <br />way to two way traffic. Mr. Tuttle informed members that city staff had requested <br />this street be converted along with the previous streets considered. After <br />discussion Mr. Sanders made a motion to approve the request to change 2 "d St. <br />from one way to two way traffic from W. Houston to E. Sherman Street. Mr. <br />Hodges made a second to the motion and it carried 4 -0. <br />
