Mr. Kohls then moved to item #6 regarding discussion concerning converting one <br />way traffic to two way traffic on 1St St. from Pine Bluff to Lamar Ave and 2nd St. <br />from Pine Bluff to Lamar Ave. Mr. Tuttle informed members that TXDOT had <br />placed the traffic lights at 2nd & Lamar and 1St & Lamar on flash mode for ninety <br />days to study the traffic at these intersections to determine if the traffic light will <br />be needed if 1St and 2nd street are changed from one way to two way traffic. No <br />action was taken as this was a discussion item only. <br />Mr. Kohls then moved to item #7 regarding discussion and possible action <br />concerning parking on 24th SE between Lamar and Clarksville. Mr. Tuttle <br />informed members that a complaint had been received from Dennis Harper at <br />41024 th SE regarding parking on 24th SE and he requested consideration be <br />given to place a No Parking Zone on 24th. Joe Iglehart 100 24th SE was present <br />at the meeting and presented a petition with names of ten residents on 24th that <br />opposed any No Parking Zones stating one was not needed at this time. After <br />discussion members took no action and requested that Police patrol the street as <br />much as possible for potential issues in the future. <br />Mr. Kohls then moved to item #8 regarding any old business. Mr. Tuttle informed <br />members that city council had passed a resolution at December 2014 meeting <br />requesting TXDOT to move forward with closing the crossover in 5000 block SE <br />Loop 286 and install a turnaround lane. Mr. Tuttle also informed members that <br />TXDOT had received the request for the traffic study at Paris Towne Center. Mr. <br />Kohls requested update on FM 1497 crossover and was advised that TXDOT is <br />currently working on a plan to address the issue. <br />Mr. Kohls then moved to item #9 regarding any future agenda items. There were <br />none. <br />Mr. Kohls then moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:52pm. A motion was made by <br />Mr. Sanders and second by Mr. Ballard with motion carrying 4 -0. <br />
