RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />TEXAS, EXTENDING THE INITIAL TERM OF A SERVICES <br />CONTRACT WITH THE POUNDERS LAW FIRM, PLLC, FOR THE <br />COLLECTION OF DELINQUENT PROPERTY TAXES; MAKING <br />OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on April 22, 2013, the City of Paris (the "CITY ") entered into a contract <br />with The Pounders Law Firm, PLLC, (the "LAW FIRM ") to enforce the collection of all <br />delinquent taxes, penalty and interest as authorized by the Texas Property Tax Code ( "the <br />Contract "); and <br />WHEREAS, the initial term of the Contract expires on October 1, 2015; and <br />WHEREAS, the CITY desires that the LAW FIRM continue enforcing the collection of <br />its delinquent taxes penalties and interest under the Contract; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED by the City Council of <br />Paris, Texas, that: <br />Section 1. The attached First Amendment to the Contract between the CITY and the <br />LAW FIRM is hereby APPROVED, extending the initial term of the Contract to October 1, <br />2020. <br />Section 2.
