THE STATE OF TEXAS § FIRST AMENDMENT <br />§ CONTRACT FOR THE <br />§ COLLECTION OF DELINQUENT <br />COUNTY OF LAMAR § PROPERTY TAXES <br />THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT is made and entered into by <br />and between the CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS a Texas homerule municipality located in <br />Lamar County, Texas, acting herein by and through its City Council (hereinafter called <br />the "CITY ") and THE POUNDERS LAW FIRM, PLLC (hereinafter called the "LAW <br />FIRM ") acting by and through its duly authorized officers. <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, on April 22, 2013, the City of Paris (the "CITY ") entered into a <br />contract with The Pounders Law Firm, PLLC, (the "LAW FIRM ") to enforce the <br />collection of all delinquent taxes, penalty and interest as authorized by the Texas Property <br />Tax Code ( "the Contract "); and <br />WHEREAS, the initial term of the Contract expires on October 1, 2015; and <br />WHEREAS, the CITY desires that the LAW FIRM continue enforcing the <br />collection of its delinquent taxes penalties and interest under the Contract; <br />THEREFORE IT IS AGREED THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The initial term expiration date specified in Section 7 of the <br />Contract shall be October 1, 2020, rather than October 1, 2015. <br />SECTION 2.
