MINUTES OF THE <br />ELECTRICAL BOARD <br />FEBRUARY 8, 1988 <br />The Electrical Board of the City of Paris met Monday, February 8, 1988, <br />at 6:00 P.M. in the Conference Room, City Hall Annex, 150 S.E. 1st <br />Street, Paris, Texas. <br />Board Members present were George Crane, Bryan Hargis and Hayden <br />Stripland and City Electrical Inspector Horace R. Shires. <br />Guests present were James Hanson, Rick Hundley, Ronald Green and Bill <br />Adams. <br />The Board elected George Crane as chairman and Bryan Hargis as <br />Secretary. <br />The matter of Journeyman and Contractor's Licenses was discussed and <br />Mr. Crane made a motion to require proof of four years experience with <br />an Electrical Contractor before a person can take the journeyman's test <br />and before a person can take the contractor's test, he must have held <br />a journeyman's license for four years. The motion was seconded by Mr. <br />Hargis and carried 4 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mr. Stripland made a motion that all electrical fees be as follows: <br />(1) Service (Minimum Permit Fee) $10.00 <br />(In addition to the $10.00 service charge, there shall be an <br />additional fee of $.20 for each outlet including wall switches.) <br />(2) Electrical ranges: <br />Old residences 2.00 <br />New residences 1.00 <br />(3) Hot water heaters: <br />Old residences 2.00 <br />New residences 1.00 <br />(4) Electrical and neon signs 2.00 <br />(5) Electrical Motors: <br />1/3 hp or less .20 <br />Over 1/3 hp but not exceeding 5 hp 2.00 <br />For each hp in excess of 5 hp .20 <br />(6) Picture Machines 2.00 <br />(7) Decorative Window Lighting 2.00 <br />(8) For inspection of any installation, device or <br />equipment not specified above, the electrical <br />inspector shall charge a fee of $10.00, provided <br />however, that there shall be no fee for a permit <br />
