Naomi F Bates and Richard Bates her son were present. <br />Robert Talley stated that the structure needs to be repaired. It has missing <br />windows, unsecure and the front porch has missing lumber. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 90 days to repair and if not the structure <br />will come back to the Commission. <br />Naomi Bates stated that she is looking for someone to fix the porch and that the <br />windows have been bought they just haven't been put in yet. Chad Lindsey asked <br />if the structure is leaning and Robert Talley stated that he thinks it appear to be <br />leaning due to the way the siding is put on the house. Johnny Norris asked if the <br />roof leaks and Richard Bates stated that the porch does due to trees falling on it <br />during the storms. Mr. Bates stated that the insurance company hasn't made it to <br />look at the roof yet but they have been contacted. He explained that the renters did <br />a lot of damage to the property. The property is vacant now and has been for <br />about 1 month but due to the rain the repairs are going slow. Mr. Bates stated the <br />floor is structurally sound the roof just needs new framing and roofing. Mr. <br />Vaughan discussed roofing materials with Mr. Bates. <br />Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Wendell Moore to accept <br />Robert Talley's recommendation. FM 79 A175, T G Chisum Survey, Tract 12 <br />Owner: Stacy & Sheila Pendergraft Rt. 1 Box 105 Paris, TX 75460 <br />Back Taxes Owed: $0 <br />Sharon Pendergraft 3790 FM 79 Sumner, TX 75486 was present. <br />Robert Talley stated that the structure has humps and waves in the roof, plywood <br />is dipping, the roof is separating, tarps are on the back of the roof, they used <br />political signs to patch the house, the back porch is collapsing, the structure is <br />sinking, unsecure and has deteriorating and missing wood and is leaning. <br />Sharon Pendergraft stated the structure has been vacant for 2 years. The property <br />has been subjected to vandals and a tree fell on it. She wants to empty the lot. <br />Johnny Norris asked what time frame she was looking at. Mrs. Pendergraft said <br />due to her husband having three heart attacks she needed 90 days. Chad Lindsey <br />asked if the structure was secure. Robert stated yes. Ben Vaughan asked if the <br />man Mrs. Pendergraft was hiring to demolish the house was in the demo business. <br />She said he advertises to be in the business. Chad Lindsey asked if the structure <br />has utilities and Mrs. Pendergraft stated the structure has water and lights. The <br />L.P. gas is turned off. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 90 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Sally McEwin to accept <br />
