Minutes <br />Traffic Commission <br />City of Paris <br />The Traffic Commission met on Tuesday July 07, 2015 at 5:15 P.M. in the <br />Municipal Courtroom with the following members present: <br />1. <br />Barry Shiver <br />2. <br />Stephen Engelhardt <br />3, <br />Wendell Moore <br />4. <br />Bill Sanders <br />5. <br />David Ballard <br />The city staff was represented by Asst. Chief Randy Tuttle. <br />Councilman Aaron Jenkins was present as council liaison. <br />Mr. Shiver called the meeting to order at 5:15pm. A quorum was established with <br />five members present. <br />Mr. Shiver then moved to item #2 regarding introduction of new Traffic <br />Commission members. Mr. Tuttle introduced Wendell Moore as the newest <br />member and Susan Hamby returning to serve another term with both of their <br />terms ending June 30, 2018. <br />Mr. Shiver moved to item #3 regarding the discussion and possible action <br />concerning election of Traffic Commission Chairperson. Mr. Shiver asked for <br />nominations and Mr. Engelhardt nominated Barry Shiver to continue as <br />Chairperson. There were no other nominations. Mr. Shiver asked for a motion <br />and Mr. Engelhardt made a motion to elect Mr. Shiver as Chairperson with a <br />second from Mr. Ballard. Motion carried 4-0 with Mr. Shiver abstaining. <br />Mr. Shiver then moved to Item #4 regarding the discussion and possible action <br />concerning the election of Traffic Commission Vice-Chairperson. Mr. Shiver <br />asked for and nominated Mr. Ballard for Vice-Chairperson. There were no other <br />nominations. Mr. Shiver then made a motion to elect Mr. Ballard as Vice- <br />Chairperson with a second from Mr. Engelhardt. Motion carried 4-0 with Mr. <br />Ballard abstaining. <br />Mr. Shiver then moved to item #5 concerning the approval of minutes from the <br />May 05, 2015 meeting. Mr. Sanders made a motion to approve minutes with a <br />second from Mr. Shiver. Motion carried 5-0. <br />
