David Turner stated that the PEDC should be taking a different direction on legal <br />services. Mr. Moore is an expert at billing, and is not from this community. He would like to <br />terminate Mr. Moore's relationship with the PEDC. Mr. Turner suggested that the PEDC talk to <br />Paris City Council about using City Attorney, Ms. Harris, for any legal matters and reimburse the <br />City for the legal services. <br />4:15 p.m. Mr. Hashmi and Guest left the meeting. <br />4:16 p.m. Mr. Hashmi came back for his phone. <br />David Turner moved to terminate services with attorney Jeff Moore. <br />Ray Banks seconded the motion. <br />Mr. Wilson brought up that Jeff Moore was working on a few pending legal matters for <br />the PEDC. This included: (1) a matter concerning Rick Hayes and (2) any corrections that Jeff <br />Moore would need to make on Mr. Defenbaugh's report. <br />Don Wilson called for a vote. Mr. Brockman pointed out Jeff Moore has billed a lot, but <br />has credentials equal to anyone in the state. Mr. Turner stated that Mr. Moore has the expertise to <br />help clients get around the rules. Mr. Brockman and Mr. Turner agreed to disagree. <br />Mr. Manning asked for a vote on the motion to terminate services with Jeff Moore. The <br />motion was carried. Mr. Wilson was the only "Nay ".
