000316 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF PARIS <br />May 21, 2007 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 6:00 P. M. Monday, May <br />21, 2007, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: Jesse James Freelen <br />Council Members: Will Biard; Mary Ann Fisher; Don Wilson; <br />Stephen Brown; and Bill Strathern, Mayor <br />Pro -Tem. <br />City Staff: Ernie Clark, Interim City Manager; Kent <br />Mellyar, City Attorney, and Janice Ellis, City <br />Clerk <br />Absent: Council Member: Kevin Gray <br />1. Mayor Manning called the meeting to order. <br />Ernie Clark gave the invocation. <br />2. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Fendley led the pledge. <br />Mayor Manning stated Council needed to move forward items 10 and 11. Council Member <br />Wilson made a Motion to bring items 10 and 11 forward and Council Member Fisher seconded the <br />Motion. Motion carried - 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Council Member Fendley asked to be recused from item 11, because of a conflict. A <br />Motion to recuse Council Member Fendley was made by Council Member Fisher and seconded <br />by Council Member Freelen. Motion carried, 4 ayes - 0 nays. <br />Mayor Manning moved to items 10 and 11. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Mayor Manning inquired if there were any items that Council Members wanted to pull from <br />the Consent Agenda for discussion. There were none. <br />Council Member Wilson made a Motion to approve the Consent Agenda and Council <br />Member Fisher seconded the Motion. The Council voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to <br />
