(3/14/07; 3/26/07; 4/2/07; 4/23/07) <br />Council Member Freelen made a Motion to return Council Member Fendley to the meeting <br />and Council Member Wilson seconded the Motion. Motion carried, 4 ayes - 0 nays. <br />Mayor Manning moved to item 3. <br />3. Canvass the returns of the Regular Municipal Election held on May 12, 2007. <br />Kent McIlyar canvassed the returns of the Regular Municipal Election held on May <br />12, 2007, as set out in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. <br />4. RESOLUTION NO. 2007-054: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, CANVASSING THE RETURNS FOR THE MAY 12, 2007, <br />GENERAL ELECTION FOR COUNCIL DISTRICTS) 4, 5 AND 7; DECLARING THE <br />WINNER IN SAID ELECTION; DECLARING THE TERMS OF OFFICE FOR THE <br />AFORESAID CANDIDATES; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Fendley and seconded <br />by Council Member Fisher. Motion carried, 5 ayes - 0 nays. <br />5. Canvass the returns of the Special City -Wide Election held on May 12, 2007. <br />Kent McIlyar canvassed the returns ofthe Special City -Wide Election held on May 12, 2007, <br />and announced that all seventy Charter Amendments passed, as set out in Exhibit `B" attached <br />hereto. <br />6. RESOLUTION NO. 2007 -055: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, CANVASSING THE RETURNS FROM THE MAY 12, 2007 <br />CITY -WIDE SPECIAL ELECTION ON THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE <br />CHARTER OF THE CITY OF PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Freelen and seconded <br />by Council Member Wilson. Motion carried, 5 ayes - 0 nays. <br />
