Mr. Anderson said on Page 1 there is <br />a opinion letter from McClanahan & Holmes, and Mr. Anderson read a portion <br />of this letter to the City Council. <br />Mayor Pfiester called for the receipt of a petition for annexation of the Hills <br />Subdivision. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem. <br />Manning, to receive the petition for annexation of the Hills Subdivision. The <br />motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2001 -008, granting a petition for annexation of certain territory <br />consisting of 14.563 (called 15.231) acres, more or less known as the Hills No. <br />1 as shown on the Final Plat of said subdivision filed with the County Clerk of <br />Lamar County on January 18, 2001, was presented. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Plata, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem. Manning, for approval of the <br />resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
