Construction Co. $14,690.00 <br />Hilliard and Sons Contractors, Inc. $14,700.00 <br />Ben Wheeler, 1020 South Church, came forward in support of the Skate Park. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Fisher, seconded by Councilman Manning, <br />to award the bid to Stephens and Sons Concrete, Inc., in the amount of $12,664.00 <br />for construction of a concrete slab for a skate park for the City of Paris Parks & <br />Recreation Department. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone announced that the next item on the agenda was <br />consideration of and action on bids for construction and installation of equipment <br />for a skate park for the City of Paris Parks & Recreation Department. City Manager <br />Malone advised that only one bid had been received, that being from Skateparks <br />International, Inc. in the amount of $31,735.01, and it was the recommendation of <br />Terry Townsend, Director of Parks and Recreation to accept this bid. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Pfiester, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Fisher, to <br />award the bids to Skateparks International, Inc. in the amount of $13,735.01, for <br />construction and installation of equipment for a Skate Park for the City of Paris <br />Parks & Recreation Department. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000 -001 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE GANG <br />RESISTANCE EDUCATION AND TRAINING (G.R.E.A.T.) PROGRAM GRANT; <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT NO. ATC000008; <br />MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WAS PRESENTED. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Manning, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Fisher, <br />for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
