M W <br />ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br />HEREWITH AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MARCH 1, 2000 <br />WAS PRESENTED. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Manning, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem <br />Fisher, for adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Attorney Schenk presented the following petitions for rezoning: Jerry <br />Pitcock, Lot 18, City Block 324, from Classification of new and Unlisted <br />Users District to a Light Industrial District; Doris Thorsen, Lot 11, City Block <br />241, from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 to a One - Family Dwelling <br />District 3 With Specific Use Permit (39) Mobile Home; Carmon King, Lot 9A, <br />City Block 300, from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 to a One - Family <br />Dwelling District No. 3 With Specific Use Permit (39) Mobile Homes; Larry <br />Dee Hoskins, Part of Lot 10, City Block 188 -E, from Agricultural District to <br />Multiple Family Dwelling No. 1. <br />Mayor Neeley referred the petitions to the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />for their study and recommendation at their meeting to be held, March 6, <br />2000, and before the City Council March 9, 2000. <br />City Manager Malone reported that with reference to the Santa Fe Depot <br />Project, the City was awarded a grant through the Texas Department of <br />Transportation, work is expected to begin at the end of the month to remove <br />tile from the roof of the Depot. They will be sorting out the good tile from the <br />broken tile, and this will be work performed by the inmates from the Bonham <br />State Prison under the direction of the Construction Manager. City Manager <br />Malone advised that replacement tile has been located in the Dallas area <br />and a commitment has been made on that. City Manager Malone further <br />advised that the design division of the Texas Department of Transportation <br />is reviewing the final drawings that have been produced for the project and <br />it is expected that the City will hear from that very soon. City Manager <br />Malone also informed the City Council that information has been referred to <br />the Texas Department of Licenses and Regulations, which is a new agency <br />and a new process, and they are reviewing drawings for handicapped ADA <br />accessability. <br />City Manager Malone said that Terry Townsend, Director of Public Works, <br />
