366 RESOLUTION NO. 99 -004 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 14th day of December, 1998, in Resolution No. 98 -179, authorize the preparation of plans and specifications for a project of construction for a pro rata water main extension to serve Paradise Estates; and, WHEREAS, such plans and specifications have been prepared by Earl S. Smith, City Engineer, with the title being given thereto of "Paradise Estates Pro Rata. Water Main Extension Project," which plans and specifications are recommended for approval by said City Engineer; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that such plans and specifications be approved and that such project be authorized for advertisement for bids; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the plans and specifications for the "Paradise Estates Pro Rata Water Main Extension Project" be, and the same are hereby, approved; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that such construction project be advertised for bids to be received after due notice at the office of the City Manager of the City of Paris, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Texas 75460, until 3:00 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 1999, at which time said bids will be opened in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and bids will be tabulated and presented to the City Council on the 8th day of February, 1999, for the purpose of letting such bid. Neeley, Mayor ATTEST: Mattie Cunningham, City Clerk APPROVED AS TO O Scott P Foster, City Attorney Resolution No. 99 -005, declaring the High Pres air compressor, Model Number HS- 6000- BA -E3, Serial Number 89/1531/07 to be surplus property, and resolving that the donation of said air compressor to Texas A &M University for $1.00 and the further consideration of allowing two Paris recruits to attend basic training at one -half the regular price, was presented. A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tern Thomas for approval of the resolution. The motion was seconded by Councilman Clifford, and carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.
