396 <br />SERVICE PLAN FOR AREA PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED <br />1. Immediately upon annexation, the City of Paris will provide the following services on the <br />same basis and terms as they are currently. offered to the current residents and property <br />owners within the corporate limits of the City of Paris: <br />a. police protection; <br />b. fire protection; <br />C. solid waste collection; <br />d. maintenance of roads and streets, with the exception of US Hwy 82, US Hwy 271, <br />Loop Hwy 286, FM 1508, FM 79, FM 905, FM 1499, and FM 1497 which are <br />maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation; and <br />e. maintenance of road and street lighting in accordance with established criteria. <br />2. Immediately upon annexation, the City of Paris will begin maintenance of water and <br />wastewater facilities in the annexed area that are not within the service area of another <br />water or wastewater utility. Water service in most areas of proposed annexation is <br />currently available from the Lamar County Water Supply District, which may serve <br />residents upon approval by the City Council of the City of Paris. City water and sewer <br />service lines will be provided to the area upon request and will be subject to the same pro <br />rata program which is available to the current residents of the City of Paris, which <br />program provides for partial reimbursement to the sponsor of the costs associated with any <br />such water and sewer service line extensions. Utility extensions will be guided by the <br />Master Plan, an update of which has been funded in the 1997 -98 budget of the City of <br />Paris. <br />3. The City of Paris will begin immediate maintenance of all water and sewer service lines <br />serving the annexed areas once the same have been acquired or installed and accepted.:- <br />4. There are no parks, playgrounds, or swimming pools located within the areas proposed to <br />be annexed and none are proposed at this time. <br />5. There are no other publicly owned facilities, buildings, or services within the areas <br />proposed to be annexed and none are proposed at this time. <br />Exhibit A <br />
