9 ,;. <br />City Manager Malone called for consideration of and action on authorizing the <br />1998 Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay Program to be funded by the Certificate of <br />Obligation, Series 1993 in the amount of $200,000.00. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Fulbright, seconded by Councilman Boyd <br />authorizing the 1998 Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay Program in the amount of <br />$200,000.00 to be funded by the Certificate of Obligation, Series 1993. The <br />motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays. <br />T here was a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for Paris, Texas for the <br />fiscal year ending September 30, 1997 prepared by the Director of Finance, <br />Gene Anderson, and asked that Mr. Anderson to come forward and note that we <br />have received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial <br />Reporting presented to the City of Paris for it Comprehensive Annual Financial <br />Report Fisc, year ending September 30, 1996, and it was presented by the <br />Government Financial Officers Association of the United States and Canada <br />Government on units of Public Employee Retirement Systems whose <br />Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports achieved the highest standards in <br />government accounting and financial reporting. <br />W. E Anderson, Director of Finance, came forward stating that he wanted to <br />make the Council aware that in this report is the audited financial statements and <br />Tom Hensel, with McClanahan and Holmes, is present to answer any questions <br />that the Council might have. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br />ERIC S.
