Texas appeared in behalf of his petition. Mr. Nabors said he wanted to sell the property to a person who wants to place a motor home on the lot, and presented pictures of the property in question. Mayor Clifford called for opponents to appear, and Mr. Mike Boswell, Route 1, Box 560, Paris, Texas, came forward stating that he was opposed to the zoning change. Mr. Boswell said he owns three lots and his Dad owns 5 lots in the area, and felt that it would devalue their property. Mr. Boswell said there was a mobile home in the neighborhood, but it has a permanent roof and bottom. Mr. Bowell presented a petition objecting to the zoning change. No one else appeared, and the public hearing was declared closed. City Manager Malone called for consideration of and action on authorizing the preparation of an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 changing the zoning from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a One - Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3) with Specific Use Permit (39) Mobile Home, on part of Lot 1, City Block 304. A motion was made by Councilman Fulbright, seconded by Councilman Gray to deny the preparation of an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 changing the zoning from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a One - Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3) with Specific Use Permit (39) Mobile Home, on part of Lot 1, City Block 304. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Malone advised that the next item on the agenda was a public hearing to consider the petition of Mary Gaynell Ottinger for a change in zoning from a One- Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Multiple - Family Dwelling District No. 1 (MF -1) on Lot 10, City Block 255 -A, located at 2663 East Price Street, and further advised that the Planning and Zoning Commission had tabled action at their meeting, therefore, no action could be taken by the Council. City Manager Malone recommended that this item and Item No. 12, preparation of an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 changing the zoning from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a One - Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3) with Specific Use Permit (39) Mobile Home, on part of Lot 1, City Block 304 be tabled. A motion was made by Councilman Thomas, seconded by Councilman Fulbright to table action on the above items. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays.
