Mayor Clifford declared the public hearing open on the petition of the City of Paris <br />for a change in zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a Commercial District (C) <br />on Lot 2, City Block 322, located at 1625 N. E. Loop 286. <br />Mayor called for proponents to appear, and none appeared. <br />Mayor called for opponents to appear, none appeared, and the public hearing was <br />declared closed. <br />City Manager Malone called for consideration of and action on preparation of an <br />ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 changing the zoning from an <br />Agricultural District (A) to a Commercial District (C) on Lot 2, City Block 322. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Thomas, seconded by Councilman Boyd <br />authorizing preparation of an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 <br />changing the zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a Commercial District (C) on <br />Lot 2, City Block 322. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone announced that the next item on the agenda was consideration <br />of and action on recommendation of the Replat of Summerwood Estates, and this item <br />had been tabled at the February meeting, and a motion to bring it from the table <br />would be in order. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Gray, seconded by Councilman Boyd to bring the <br />Replat of Summerwood Estates from the table. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Fulbright, seconded by Councilman Boyd for <br />approval of the Replat of Summerwood Estates subject to the requirements of the City <br />Engineer. The motion carried 4 ayes, 1 nay, and one abstention, with Councilman <br />Thomas voting no, and Mayor Clifford abstaining. <br />City Manager Malone announced that the next item on the agenda was consideration <br />of and action on recommendation of the Replat of Lot 7, City Block 329. A motion was <br />made by Councilman Thomas, seconded by Councilman Boyd for approval of the <br />Replat of Lot 7, City Block 329 subject to the requirements of the City Engineer.
