RESOLUTION NO. 98 -012 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has been made aware of the fact that <br />Lot 2, City Block 322, within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, has a zoning classification <br />of Agricultural District (A); and, <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of the citizens of Paris that such <br />zoning classification be reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris <br />and, in the event that the same should be changed to a Commercial District (C) classification, that <br />such recommendation should be made to the City Council for final action; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that a public hearing be set before the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on the <br />2nd day of March, 1998, and before the City Council at 6:00 p.m. on the 5th day of March, <br />1998; NOW, TH ",REFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the <br />matter of appropriate zoning on Lot 2, City Block 322, be, and the same is hereby, referred to <br />the Platming and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris for its recommendation concerning the <br />proper zoning of the same; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held by and before the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City <br />Hall, Paris, Texas, on the 2nd day of March, 1998, and that a public hearing be held by and <br />before the City Council of the City of Paris at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, <br />Paris, Texas, on the 5th day of March, 1998, said public hearings to be held concerning <br />appropriate zoning on said property. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 30th day of January, 1998. <br />Eric S. Haynes, City Attorney <br />Resolution No. 98 -013, authorizing the execution of a purchase order with <br />Houston - Galveston Area Council of Governments for two (2) Custom Class "A" <br />Pumpers for the Paris Fire Department, to be manufactured by Quality Mfg., <br />Talladega, Alabama for a total purchase price of $620,000.00, was presented. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Neeley, seconded by Mayor Pro Tern <br />McDonald for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
