;Y <br />• w <br />Mayor Clifford also recommended that Agenda Item No. 3.A.c, consideration <br />of and action on authorizing preparation of an ordinance revising the Code of <br />Ordinances of the City of Paris by adding Article VI to Chapter 21 thereof to <br />provide for the prohibition from sale, use, or possession of fireworks and to <br />provide for the sale of fireworks in newly annexed areas for three (3) years with <br />a permit. A motion was made by Councilman Thomas, seconded by <br />Councilman Boyd to table action on this item. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 <br />nays. <br />On the recommendation of the Traffic Commission, a motion was made by <br />Councilman Thomas, seconded by Councilman Boyd authorizing the <br />preparation of an ordinance revising Section 31 -65(b) of the Code of Ordinances <br />revising the Traffic - Control Map providing for stop signs at the following <br />locations: <br />a. Intersection of 1St Street N. E. at East Oak stopping North and South <br />bound traffic on 1" Street N. E. <br />b. Intersection of 11 th Street N. E. and East Hickory stopping North and <br />South bound traffic on 1 Vh Street N. E. <br />C. Intersection of West Neagle and 40' Street S. W. stopping West bound <br />traffic on West Neagle. <br />The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone said under Agenda Item No. 4, Personal Appearance, Ms. <br />Carrie Newman was scheduled for a personal appearance, representing Chance, <br />Inc., requesting the City Council to reverse the denial of their claim for <br />damages, and advised the Council that they would like to appear at a later date. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Fulbright, seconded by Councilman Boyd <br />to table this item. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
