697 <br />had been received that being from Tyler Uniform Company. The <br />recommendation of the Fire Chief, Steve Burgin was to award the bid to <br />Tyler Uniform which meets all specification and is within the budgeted <br />amount. <br />A motion was made by Councilwoman I41cDonald to award the bid to Tyler <br />Uniform Company for furnishing and delivery of uniforms for the Fire <br />and Emergency Medical Service Departments. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilwoman Elder, and carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone called for tabulations of bids for furnishing and <br />delivery of one (1) heavy duty rescue truck to be assigned to the Paris <br />Fire Department, and the following bids were presented: <br />SVI Trucks /Super Vac MFG. Co., Inc. $229,449.00 <br />Summit Fire Apparatus $211,905.00 <br />It was the recommendation of the Fire Chief, Steve Burgin to award the <br />bid to SVI Trucks /Super Vac MFG. Co., Inc. as the low bidder, Summit <br />Fire Apparatus is not registered with the Texas Motor Vehicle Division <br />of the Texas Department of Transportation. This licenses is mandated <br />to conduct business involving vehicles in Texas, along with not meeting <br />several specifications. <br />A motion was made by Councilwoman Elder, seconded by Councilman Boyd to <br />award the bid to SVI Trucks /Super Vac MFG. Co., Inc. in the amount of <br />$229,449.00 for one heavy duty rescue truck. The motion carried 5 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 97 -001, authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City <br />of Paris, Eric S. Clifford to execute on behalf of the City of Paris <br />the contract with Liberty National Bank in Paris, to act as depository <br />for the City of Paris for a term of two years, was presented. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Boyd, seconded by Councilman Fulbright for <br />approval of the resolution. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
