0890 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97 -030 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is supportive of Title VIII of the <br />Civil Rights Act of 1968, as amended, which prohibits discrimination in housing; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris has executed a Proclamation <br />proclaiming the month of April as "Fair Housing Month" in the City of Paris, in the form <br />attached hereto as Exhibit A; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of the City of Paris that the City <br />Council of the City of Paris show support of the Fair Housing law by approving said <br />proclamation; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that <br />the Proclamation proclaiming April as "Fair Housing Month" in the City of Paris, in the <br />form attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same is hereby, approved. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of April, 1997. <br />Eric S.
