MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />January 2, 1996 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in special session, Tuesday, <br />January 2, 1996, 5:15 P. M., City Council Chambers, City fall, Paris, <br />Texas. Mayor Pro Tem Charles Fulbright called the meeting to order <br />with the following Councilmembers present: Aaron Jenkins, John Bell, <br />Charles Neeley, and Richard Hunt. <br />City Manager Malone called for consideration of and action on an <br />ordinance annexing with proper zoning approximately 20.32 acres <br />(Tenaska III Texas Partners property) on Highway 271 North and <br />approximately 70.08 acres of Lake Crook Property (newly acquired from <br />Richard B. Swint). City Manager Malone advised the Council that a <br />motion to reconsider this matter would be necessary. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Neeley, seconded by Councilman Jenkins <br />to reconsider the above annexation. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays <br />with Councilman Bell being out of the room. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 96 -001 <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF <br />THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN <br />TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 99.4 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, WHICH IS LESS THAN �.'� T.i,. <br />TEN PERCENT (10 %) OF THE TERRITORY INCLUDED WITHIN ITS PRESENT CITY <br />LIMITS, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT <br />BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS; APPROVING SERVICE <br />PLANS AND PROVIDING ZONING FOR SAID TERRITORY <br />was presented. A motion was mad by Councilman Neeley for adoption of <br />the ordinance.
