RESOLUTION NO. gr,_019 WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, provides funding for Criminal Justice Planning Fund (421 Fund) grants, which provide funds for the continuation of a juvenile officer \juvenile gang officer; and, WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous of processing a grant application for the Criminal Justice Planning Fund (421 Fund) grant in the approximate amount of $45,000.00, for the funding period from September 1, 1996, to August 31, 1997 being 80% of the estimated cost of continuing a juvenile officer /juvenile gang officer, along with attendant expenses, requiring 20% matching funds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE; CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: 1. That an application be made to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, for a Criminal Justice Planning Fund (421 Fund) grant in the approximate amount of $45,000.00, for the funding period from September 1, 1996, to August 31, 1997, being 80% of the estimated cost of continuing a juvenile officer /juvenile gang officer along with attendant expenses, requiring 20% matching funds. 2. That Michael E. Malone, City Manager of the City of Paris, be, and lie is hereby, appointed as the Authorized Official of said project and is authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the application for grant in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, and the grant acceptance notice at such time as the grant is awarded. 3. That Karl Louis, be, and lie is hereby, appointed as Project Director and is hereby authorized to execute and deliver on behalf of the City of Paris all reports, communications, assurances and documents necessary for the completion of said project. 4. That W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance, be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to serve as the Financial Officer for said project and to receive and distribute funds for purposes of the Criminal Justice Planning (421) Program.
