RESOLUTION NO. 96 -020
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 11th day of
<br />September, 1995, in Resolution No. 95 -100, authorize the execution of a contract with the
<br />Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County, Inc., to maintain the Visitors & Convention Council
<br />for the purpose of managing the Municipal Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund to promote tourism and
<br />the convention and hotel industry in the City of Paris; and,
<br />WIIEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 2nd day of
<br />October, 1995, amend Exhibit A to said Resolution No. 95 -100, same being said contract, to
<br />consolidate the Visitors and Convention Council operation and the Love Civic Center operation;
<br />and,
<br />WHEREAS, the terms of the contract are in need of revision, and an Addendum
<br />Number One to Contract dated October 2, 1995, in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A,
<br />should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, should
<br />be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
<br />form of Addendum Number One to Contract dated October 2, 1995, be, and the same is hereby,
<br />approved; and,
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford,
<br />be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris,
<br />Addendum Number One to Contract dated October 2, 1995, upon the terms and conditions and
<br />in the form shown in Exhibit, A attached hereto.
