Also <br />we reduced the number of yards into the landfill by forty -two s <br />percent (42 %) with the program. <br />Our current project with the new brush chipper will cost each _ <br />citizen of Paris $2.36. If we had not started this program <br />and' put' all the unprocessed brush in the-landfill, it. would <br />have cost $8.21 per citizen last..year. <br />The savings. of $205,200.00 minus $59,002.72 = a net savings <br />of $146,197.28 and reduced the landfill amount by 27,000 <br />yards in 1995. <br />8 <br />
