811 RESOLUTION NO. 94 -019 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous of using City of Paris fairground property for the purpose of conducting an auction to be held on March 16, 1994; and, WHEREAS, the Coliseum and the grounds between the Livestock Barn and the Coliseum and the parking area which serves the some is the property to be utilized from April 11 through April 16; and, WHEREAS, the City of Paris reserved in its lease with the Red River Valley Fair Association the right to use said fairground property for municipal purposes, and it is appropriate for the City to exercise its right; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, the City of Paris does hereby elect to exercise its right to use that portion of the fairground property being the Coliseum and the grounds between the Livestock Barn and the Coliseum and the parking area which serves the same for the sale beginning April 11, 1994 through April 16, 1994; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Mattie Cunningham, City Clerk of the City of Paris is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Rita Haynes, Red River Valley Fair Association, P. Haynes, City Attorney Resolution No. 94 -020, granting permission to the Red River Valley Fair Association for construction of a 40 foot x 100 foot building on the west side of the outdoor stage area on the fairgrounds, was presented. City Attorney Haynes advised the Council that this will authorize them to go forward with their planning for this construction, and they will be back before this body later on for further action that will be necessary to complete the financing on the building to subordinate the landlord's lien that we have on the property that we have since we lease it to the Red River Valley Fair Association. A motion was made by Councilwoman McDonald, seconded by Councilman John Bell for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays.
